RESIDENTS SAY #GABORONE NOT READY FOR AFRICA GAMES Efforts to market Gaborone as a diamond centre and a tourism destination may hit a snag, as many #Batswana have complained that the city is not ready to host the 2nd Africa Youth Games. The Games which start on the 22nd, are a chance for the city to market itself. Many have complained about the citys cleanliness, malfunctioning traffic lights and the cattle roaming the city, saying it will impact negatively on the image of the city. Meanwhile....Gaborone Mayor Haskins #Nkaigwa says the city council does not have enough resources to carry out its works. Speaking earlier on Breakfast with Reg, Nkaigwa noted that budget constraints have hampered their plans to collect waste twice a week from residential areas.
