RESIST film premier at this event! RESIST; The Unistotens Call to the Land is a documentary that was filmed in the summer of 2013 on unceded Wetsuweten territory over the duration of the fourth annual Environmental Action Camp, which was hosted by the Unist’ot’en (Cihltsehkhyu/Big Frog) clan. The focus of the film is on the Camp and what it represents in relation to indigenous sovereignty, as well as the environmental, legal, and social issues surrounding hydraulic fracturing, tar sands, and the proposed Kinder-Morgan, Pacific Trails Pipeline, and Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline projects in British Columbia. The short film documents one of the most important resistance camps in North America at this time, as well as the larger movement it is a part of.
