RESIST the devil and he will flee from you..... How many times have you heard that verse ? Do you really understand what it is saying? The devil represents Anything and ANYONE who tries to make you sin...Just how do we Resist the devil? RESIST means to To take action in opposition to; try to eliminate, reduce, or stop. To remain unaltered, undamaged, or unaffected by; withstand. WOW... Do you realize how subtle the devil works on us every single day as we strive to serve God? Okay think of this, someone says or does something to make you get angry....What is your very first reaction? RESIST NOW....A car pulls out in front of you and then pokes along at 35 mph..... What is your very first reaction? RESIST NOW.......The alarm clocks does not go off and you are running late....RESIST....... You think someone is snubbing you....RESIST..... The devil does not always show up as some huge problem or heartache.... he is all those little annoying things that creep into our everyday lives and the way we RESIST him is TO DRAW NEARER TO GOD. Think of it this way, when I forget to say my prayers the devil shouts with glee, but oh it starts him running when he sees me on my knees.....GOD helps us to resist all evil in this world, no matter what it is :) so open up your heart and let the SON shine in.
