"RESPECTED wildlife carer Ranger Dan has slammed the crocodile management plan rolled out in Cairns this month. The co-owner of Hands on Wildlife is angry about the State Government’s plan, which will see the removal of all crocodiles, regardless of size, from the northern bank of Trinity Inlet up to Ellis Beach and will include Lake Placid, the downstream area of the Barron River and Chinaman’s Creek. The initiative follows a new crocodile management plan introduced in Townsville earlier this year and consists of a three-tiered approach that is based on keeping crocodiles out of designated areas and releasing them in child-care centres."
