RESULTS IN WEEKEND WOW what an intense game in the weekend, the boys knew this would be a very hard game. Due to new rules from North Harbor, the 2 bottom teams (Silverdale & Mahurangi) from the Reserves Division made their way down to the Prem 3 grade. The Tuvaluan Brothers were tested in every areas of their game, and so the more experience side Silverdale went into halftime leading 24-17. The second half was no different to the first half with Silverdale applying alot of pressure on the Tuvaluan Boys, but the tainas were able to hold their ground for most of the period. Less than 10 mins to go, Tesika was able to pounce on a loose ball, and run 30m to score with conversion sailing over to lock up the game 29-29. With 3 mins remaining, last roll of the dice for the tainas and 50m from their try line, and from a Line-out the boys decided to give one last chance to break the strong Silverdale defense, a well executed Back line move ICE-GIVE saw our replacement center, Max dashing through a huge hole, only to be stopped 1 meter short from the try line, and only for Silverdale to give away a penalty with hands in the rucks. Our youngest player taking the penalty kick, which sailed over.
