RESULTS OF THE 2ND ANNUAL INTER-FACULTY SPORTS COMPETITION OF THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY LOKOJA DAY 2: Tuesday, 28th January, 2014 The second day of the on-going 2nd Annual Inter-Faculty Sports Competition was quite interesting. The third quarter final match of the football event was played as boys of the Department of Physics slugged it out with those of the Department of History and International Studies. The seemingly deadly game was decided with a penalty and the Physicists ensured that the Historians became history at the end of the day as they defeated them 5 goals to 4. This was immediately followed by the fourth quarter final game between the Department of Biological Sciences and the Department of Political Science. It was the only quarter final match that was not decided with penalty kicks as Chianu Chinedu and Aliyu Abdulmumini of Political Science made sure that a goal from each half was fired into the net of the Biologists. The game ended 2:0 in favour of Political Science. The teams that eventually made it into the last four are Geology, Economics, Physics and Political Science departments.
