RETRO SPACE IMAGE DISCS - retrospaceimages - Just received this back from Andy Chaikin with regards to distance, etc. with regards to the golf ball and javelin launched by Shepard and Mitchell on the moon. Hi J.L., The attached is my attempt to correlate the Apollo 14 post-EVA 2 window pan with LRO imagery. Ive taken the post-EVA 2 window pan and tried to correlate it with an LRO image. Let me know if anythings unclear. I may not be right about my correlations, but I think I figured out where the crater is that contains the javelin and one of the golf balls (as seen in AS14-66-9337). By using the LM footpad width of 20 feet, it looks to me like its less than 100 ft check me on this). As for the other golf ball, I think its also in one of the post-EVA 2 pix, but not sure. Andy
