REVEALED: RAILA ODINGA’s CORD given Sh 1 billion by US to oust UHURU/ RUTO Wednesday May 28, 2014 - Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga’s CORD has been given Sh 1 billion to finance all 47 rallies that will be held in all the 47 Counties starting this Friday. According to a CORD insider who spoke to journalists on condition of anonymity, CORD principals led by former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga and Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, received the amount from United States Agency for International Development (USAID) officials, during their trip to the United States. The money is set to be used for logistics for the planned rallies cum mass protests. Among those who witnessed the signing of the amount is Mombasa Senator, Hassan Omar and Kibra MP, Kenneth Okoth. The money which was purported to be used for “improvement of governance in Kenya” is set to finance all the 47 rallies scheduled by CORD leaders starting this Friday. The source said even the United Kingdom Government has pledged to support CORD with Sh 500 million to support their course of ousting the “dictatorial” regime of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
