REVISED DATES FOR THE INTERNATIONAL CRICKET SEASON The Hughes family has confirmed funeral arrangements for their son Phillip and to accommodate these arrangements Cricket Australia has made the decision to amend the 2014-15 fixture. The first Commonwealth Bank Test will now commence in Adelaide on 9 December. The Adelaide Test has been brought forward to accommodate the rescheduled Brisbane Test. The Commonwealth Bank Test in Brisbane has been rescheduled and will now take place from 17-21 December, and the Sydney Test has also been shifted with its start date moving to 6 January to allow for a six day break for players nearing the end of a busy series. The changes to the schedule have been made with the well-being of the grieving Australian cricket players in mind. Cricket Australia has worked hard to ensure cricket fans around the country can still get to top level cricket in their hometown this season. There will be some changes to the schedule for the KFC T20 Big Bash League. Cricket Australia will advise of these changes in due course. Important information for ticket holders Pre-purchased tickets will be honoured when presented for the corresponding day of the rescheduled matches. Full ticket refunds are also available for ticket purchasers who are unable to attend on the rescheduled day. Full details for ticket purchasers to obtain ticket refunds will be communicated directly by the relevant ticket agency (Ticketek or Ticketmaster). Cricket Australia will contact all Cricket Australia Corporate Hospitality and Group Ticket customers shortly with more information on how their bookings will be treated for the rescheduled matches. If you are now unable to attend a match on the rescheduled date(s) please wait for contact from Ticketek or Ticketmaster which will contain information on how to obtain your refund. We encourage cancellations to be made prior to the relevant rescheduled match to help ensure your refund is processed as quickly as possible. Ticket sales for rescheduled matches will be temporarily suspended as soon as possible and will re-commence once Ticketek and Ticketmaster are able to sell tickets to the rescheduled matches. Information for those travelling to affected matches Options are available for Qantas customers who are booked to travel with Qantas and wish to make changes to their flights as a result of the changes to the Test schedule, including re-booking with no change fee. Cricket Australia is also seeking flexibility with accommodation providers when dealing with cricket fans who have travel bookings that are disrupted by these changes. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time for Australian cricket and we look forward to seeing you at the cricket throughout the summer.
