RF/SLR thinks I see a lot of posts here saying I am a beginner and this is my first film [which looks like crap} - Leica M6 35mm Summicron Who has all this money for a Leica? Yes, a superb camera, except it requires understanding skill and experience to use well I will therefore make the suggestion that before anyone else thinks they need a Leica M2,3,4 or 6 they look at a simple Nikon FE or FM, or an old Nikkormat. These will give greater ease of use, superb optics, a screen where an image can be considered without the thought needed in a BL range finder and are vastly cheaper For even greater cheapness, and old K series Pentax or Minolta or . . . will give just as good results and for almost free an M42 camera like an Edixa, Zenit or Pentax will be perfect for leaning without the financial treadmill of a Leica. After and SLR cheapie a photographer might choose to go medium or large format
