RFQ for promotions .... The Economic Alliance, which will administer a $150,000 state grant to promote tourism in the Methow Valley and Okanogan County, has issued a “request for qualifications,” soliciting companies or individuals to contract with the Economic alliance to carry out the promotional campaign. Because of the fast turn-around time required, the Economic Alliance has asked regional media to distribute the information through their social media networks. Request For Qualifications The Carlton Complex fires started on July 14, 2014, by lightning and made significant runs in many of our communities consuming 256,108 acres and approximately 300 homes in its path and destroying critical infrastructure. Governor Jay Inslee has directed the state Department of Commerce to release $150,000 from the Governor’s Strategic Reserve Fund to support local economies affected by the Carlton Complex fire and the subsequent ongoing business related impacts of that event. The Economic Alliance of Okanogan County has been contracted to administer these funds. An agency will be contracted to immediately create and launch a County-wide media and communications plan and possibly other services to inform the public that area businesses and attractions are open for business, easily accessible and safe to travel to. Scope of Work: 1. Develop a public relations message that community partners can communicate. Target Markets: I-5 Corridor, Spokane and British Columbia 2. Develop an advertising campaign, produce advertising content, and make recommendations for the media buy. Target Markets: I-5 Corridor, Spokane and British Columbia 3. Develop a social media marketing strategy that includes content to be implemented by community partners.
