RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL.{JULY__2014} THEME: HE DOESNT LAY BLAMES WEDNESDAY~16TH~JULY~2014 WITH: PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreprovable in his sight. (Colossians 1:21-22) What a blessing to know the true nature and character of our heavenly Father! James 1:5 says, He ...upbraideth not..., which means He doesnt reproach or criticize you. He doesnt blame you for anything. Men may look at you and berate or scold you, but God isnt that way. He doesnt even count your sins against you (2 Corinthians 5:19), neither does He find fault with you. Read the opening scripture once more. It says, ...He reconciled (you) in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable, and unreprovable in His sight. This is so comforting. It means that before God, youre without blemish and free from accusation; youve been justified. Halleluiah. No wonder the Apostle Paul got poetic in Romans 8:33-34 saying, Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Gods elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again.... Then in verse thirty-eight to thirty-nine, he declared, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Christ Jesus already died for you; He was condemned in your place. 1 Peter 3:18 says, For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. The one that died for you is no ordinary person. Thus, no one should condemn you anymore. Theres therefore now no condemnation for you, because youre in Christ Jesus, and walk according to the spirit (Romans 8:1). Christ is your righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30); it doesnt matter who accuses you; to God youre unblameable, because of His righteousness in you. You may say, But Ive made mistakes. Yes, you have, but Jesus took responsibility for all your mistakes. Hes the reason God doesnt charge you with wrong. Halleluiah! PRAYER Blessed be God, by whom Ive been called into oneness with the Lord Jesus Christ, such that I approach the throne of grace boldly, without guilt, condemnation or blame. I thank you Father, for this awesome privilege, in Jesus Name. Amen.
