RICHMOND COUNTY DEPUTY INJURED AFTER PATROL CAR HITS TREE A Richmond County deputy was hospitalized Friday night after striking a tree and rolling her patrol vehicle, authorities said. WJBF-TV identified the officer as Deputy Tiffany Justice. According to sheriffs Sgt. Michael Shane McDaniel Sr, the deputy was driving on Walton Way and Milledge Road just before 10 pm Friday when she lost control of her patrol vehicle after another vehicle pulled out in front of the road deputy. The deputy, in an attempt to avoid an accident, veered off the roadway and struck a tree, which caused the vehicle to overturn, Sgt. McDaniel said. The deputy was transported to Georgia Regents University for non-life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol will be handling this investigation.
