RIDGE SPRING SHOOTING IN AIKEN COUNTY; MAN SHOT IN HIP; JUVENILE HIT IN HEAD BY GLASS AFTER GUNFIRE HITS HIS HOME The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred on Owl Branch Road late last night. Sheriff Deputies responded to the 100 block of Owl Branch Road after a 911 call about multiple shots being fired in the area. Responding deputies found a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his left hip. The victim informed deputies that he was walking in the roadway when he was shot and could not provide any suspect information. During the incident a residence was struck by a bullet and a juvenile in the bed suffered lacerations to the head due to falling glass. The shooting victim was transported to an area hospital by EMS for treatment where his condition was known as stable. The juvenile victim was transported by EMS an area hospital for treatment for the lacerations.
