RIGHT ON BROTHER The BBC reports on Ukraine always report a news item by referring to the antagonists as pro Kiev or Government and as pro Russian separatists. Perhaps a better description would be pro or anti maidan. Some anti maidan could have been better described as federalists though the recent illegal ATO (finest Orwellian language) has pushed many federalists to the pint where they cannot contemplate feudalisation any longer. Now, go back and check every BBC report on Ukraine in the last month and they ALL say the following things which I will correct. The conflict started when Russia annexed Crimea (the conflict started in February with the coup thats never mentioned) the actual fighting in the south East began with the ATO. They all say 2000odd civilians have died as a result of the fighting, yet they omit that virtually every civilian death (go check human rights watch if you want) resulted from indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas by the Kiev forces, indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas is illegal under international law and a war crime. Never mentioned. The definition of terrorism is the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure to achieve political aims. The ATO has seen schools churches hospitals and apartment blocks shelled, thats terrorism. Never reported. Complete propaganda. The effect of this continued and subtle line is to confuse the careless reader into having a false impression of the conflict, who is doing what, why things are happening and so on, simply to portray events in a light suitably fitting with the narrative western imperialism requires to manage public opinion. by Eddie
