RIL Digest Israelites in the wilderness (Part two) Moses said, he brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us land of which He swore to our fathers.(Deut 6:23) Israels persistent unbelief and disobedience did not affect Gods plan; it only affected Israels experience of it. Like the Israelites, we are quick to assume that Gods provision is the extent of our inheritance as wellas the centre of Gods purpose. The Lord met the expectations of Israel just the same way He meets ours but they rejected Him when it became apparent that He had an expectation Of His own. Just like the Israelites, everyone starts their journey of fleeing to The Lord for deliverance and looking to Him for provision. But we begin to encounter the true purpose for our salvation when the Lord finds in us a land for His increase, a kingdom for His glory. Dont be like the Israelites who died in the wilderness with bellies full of Gods provisions but with hearts ignorant of His eternal purpose.
