RIP Areciele When I lived in Florida I had a girlfriend named Arecielie. We went out for almost two years. We had a plan to go to a party with our other friends. It was planned for two weeks ahead. So the afternoon of the party I met up with her. She told me that she didn’t want to go. I was taken by surprise. I told her that I would go for an hour or two. So she walked home. During the party I heard ambulances and other sirens. Later when I was walking to her house there were two cops in her driveway. I walked right in because it was like my house too. Her mom was crying and they said Arecielie got hit and killed by a drunk driver. I said it was all my fault because I left her. Both of us would have been killed if I went with her. And yet neither of us would have been killed if she went with me. I named my daughter after her and will never forget her. She will always have a place in my heart and I know she has a place for me too. It’s hard to love someone just as much as her because I don’t want to them to be torn away again. -Db, Solano
