RIP Earl D. Holt 3/4/49 - 11/14/14 Heavy heart today. The world lost another great one. Im one of those people whose family ties are long and complicated, weave in and out and cross paths. That happens when your parents grew up down the street from one another and both are part of huge families. You tend to know everyone and half (or more) of them are related to you. Add a few divorces and such, and it gets hard to explain to people on the outside. But, despite the fact that Earl Holt, Sr. was related to me by blood on my moms side and by marriage on my dads (see, complicated), he will always be Uncle Rusty to me. Full of laughs, a big personality and a loving one, he knew me my whole life. It hurts to, yet again, lose someone who reminds me so much of my childhood. His son, Earl Holt and daughter, Lisa Holt Veregge always felt like the older siblings I didnt have. This loss will be felt, as I said, across a large part of my family circle. Hugs to all my Peaslee and Thornton relatives, especially my stepmom, Bunny Thornton Mansir, who lost her uncle today. I love you. Buster, Lisa, know that I love you both and that if you need anything at all, Im here.
