RIP India’s Original Masterchef Passes Away India’s first celebrity cook, Tarla Dalal has died following a cardiac arrest. She passed away at her residence in south Mumbai. She leaves behind a legacy of nearly 17,000 recipes created by her. She penned over 100 cookery books which sold more than three million copies. She was conferred the Padma Shri in 2007. Dalal’s classes became very popular with many wanting to learn from her. She has several books to her credit.
