RIP Minolta. I took it to the local shop today, and...the shutter is broken. I took a shot...and then it just wouldnt advance anymore. Whoever suggested supporting the local shop was 100% right. They helped me a lot today. Anyway...it would cost $100-150 to fix it and frankly, Im not that attached to it. I bought it at a flea market in a random box. The guy wouldnt let me go through it but said I could have the box for $100. It had this camera body and 11-12 different lenses. Anyway...does anyone have a suggestion for a (I hesitate to say cheap when I mean less expensive) replacement? I have a Canon Rebel BUT it doesnt have the weight to it that this Minolta does. The click isnt as satisfying. The local shop has two for $35-40, but they both have an odd horizontal black line across the viewfinder that dont appear on the film. Opinions?
