RIP OLD MAN…..Today Animal Control Officer Nate Barson and a Lambertville Animal Welfare volunteer answered the call of a Lambertville Citizen who found a very sick cat in their backyard last night - this older orange cat was obviously very very thin and having troubles breathing - he apparently spent the night “moaning in pain”…..we captured him easily and took him for evaluation to Lambertville Animal Hospital. Sadly it was determined that this cat, an older unfixed male, had a massive tumor inside his mouth and oral cancer was suspected, along with possible fluid around his lungs. With a heavy heart, we all decided that euthanasia was the best decision for this kitty - one who had obviously had a tough life living outside, although he had enjoyed a wonderful tuna dinner last night. With a heavy heart, we gave him the final gift of peace to end any further suffering….rest in peace handsome orange boy….. Thank you Officer Barson and Lambertville Animal Hospital for your amazing compassion and care in dealing with this boy - some people would consider him a throw away cat but you both treated him as if he was just as special as our own beloved pet cats. With Sincere Gratitude, LAMBERTVILLE ANIMAL WELFARE
