RIP Smokey. I had Smokey at the vets when they opened this morning. Dr. Wilson confirmed as we feared that Smokey had thrombosis (this is a blood clot) that cut off everything to his back end. He literally had no feeling from the middle of his back to his tail. Dr. Wilson confirmed that there was no treatment, no quality of life, so we did what we had to do. I am pretty distraught, and after crying in the vets office, I have hopefully cried all that I will cry. We will continue this rescue no matter what we have to go through and I will be doing a trip to Gun Barrel to the vet tomorrow, but I will be taking a short break from FB for a few days to--I dont know--try to get myself back together emotionally, s I dont keep weeping all over everyone.
