RIP Sweet Susie. Over the Bridge this morning. So hard. She was my first cat, but while we had to wait so long for test results and more at the vet in our private room, she actually for the first time in 16 years slept in my lap. She was never a lap cat and would struggle to get down whenever I tried to keep her in my lap or arms. But today she gave in and slept peacefully and quietly and very still for over an hour warm in my lap. To us, that was her signal to let her go. For those that want to know, she was in kidney failure, might have had cancer of some type undiagnosed and her sudden turn over the weekend and being unstable on her back legs was more than likely due to mini strokes going on. She was still aware and had her hearing but she was not going to make it back to a good life. She was loved by many who met her over the years. Thanks everyone for your good wishes and helping her over the bridge. Two of these are BEFORE Fletcher and Arden when it was the three of them.
