RIP dear David Brenner. We go back a long way. He was the first comedian who told me to call his agents at William Morris. Only I had no act, I was just hanging out at Xenon in NY. He put me on his TV show with Joan Lunden. I was the head writer for an ill-fated variety show that he was set to star in.
