RIVERS MONEY IN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT POCKET CAVEAT EMPTOR: I am a Rivers man and in support that whatever belongs to Rivers State should be hers. The monies in question belong neither to President Jonathan, nor to GovernorAmaechi. Therefore, we must insulate the individuals in the offices and talk about the institutions. The Government of Rivers State has said that the Federal Government owes her a total of N105b, being the sum of monies invested by RSG in projects under the Federal Government, within Rivers State. The Governor said this on July 6, 2014, in a session with journalists. Going forward, we shall be directing questions to offices that know, or should know about these transactions. Our aim is to be abreast with the facts of the matter and to unanimously demand the repatriation of our monies for the pursuit of other investment concerns within the state. We shall start with the office of the Special Adviser to the government on Investments. This office is manned by our friend and brother, Mr Abiye Amakiri. He is tagged to this post. Sir, 1. Are you aware of any such investment s by RSG in pro under the FG in Rivers State to the tune of N105b? 1.b, Were the investments to this sum all done under this government that you serve? 2. What is the nature of these investments and what particular type of investments are these? 3. What are the names of the projects, locations and costs per project? 4. What was your professional advise to the government in the face of these investments? 5. What is the state of these investments at the moment? House of Assembly: a. Are you aware of these investments and were they budgeted for, or were they approved? If yes, on what grounds? b. What from your oversight functions is the state of the projects at the moment? Accountant General For the State, Finance Commissioner: * What was your role in these investments as it regards your constitutional responsibilities? * From the current state of the projects, can you say we have value for money? * what strategies have thou employed to recover these monies? Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter Governmental Matters. This office is manned by our friend and brother Mr Achi William Wobodo. Sir, 1. Have there been moves, by way of correspondences between the RSG and the FG in relation ton these projects and in relation to repayments? 2. What is the body language of these correspondences? Rivers People: Why have we not unanimously joined in the demand form our monies? Federal Government: 1. Are you aware of the strides of RSG in projects under your radar in the territory of Rivers State? 2. What was your investment agreement with RSG? 3. Are you keeping to your bit of the bargain? 4.
