ROAD CONDITION UPDATES FROM ST. CLAIR CITIZENS: Old Margaret Rd at West St. 75 Ft stretch solid ice covering both lanes, passable but dangerous. Mays Bend Road is passable; however, there are several spots that are still covered with ice. County Rd 21 has several very slick spots 174 is passable from Pell city to Springville Macedonia in Ragland still has ice, black ice and snow above shoal creek thru the hills and curves. Roberts mill pond Rd is passable but still very icy Hwy 78 between Eden and the High School look slick but I think it is just where the city sanded the heavily iced areas 78 in Lincoln by RV parks near Honda. Ice! I 20 West, Riverside to Birmingham airport clear 231 from PC to Ashville is passable. A few slick spots. Drive with caution! Prescott Church coming off Camp Road is still Ice. Traveling up to is not recommended. Hwy 34 is passable. There is still a slick spot at Funderburg Bend Rd. Go slow and you should just fine. Hwy 78 / Cogswell Ave from Old Wagon Rd to the High School is still very thick with ice. HWY 78 from there to the industrial park is slick but passable, lots of icy patches still so use extreme caution. County Rd 33 in Ashville is passable with some slick spots. Some spots are still solid ice! Legacy springs hill to 174 in Odenville then onto 411 before Moody High School is good to go Still a few slick spots on Argo/Margaret Rd, particularly in front of Buckeye Grocery. Take your time because most of the road is dry but you will quickly come up on an icy patch. I-59 was fine from Argo to downtown Bham. Whites Chapel Pkwy has several slick spots Mays Bend Road is passable; however, there are several spots that are still covered with ice. Village springs has been sanded but still has patches of ice. Smooth sailing as long as youre careful Argo-Margaret road is passable but still icy in spots. Its down to one lane because of cars and ice, but it is passable.
