ROAD TO THE GOLD COAST – 2018 COMMONWEALTH GAMES Only days have passed since our great achievements during the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, however Boxing Scotland’s Performance Programme never sleeps! We now look to the next Commonwealth Games, to be held during 2018 in the Gold Coast, Australia, with the sole aim of surpassing the very high standards just set by our 2014 Games squad. Next up on the programme calendar is the highly regarded “Tampere 35th International Tammer Tournament 2014”, to be held in Finland between 16th – 19th October. Therefore, the first OPEN INVITATION SQUAD TRAINING session open to both SENIOR & YOUTH OPEN CLASS MALE boxers to kick start the “ROAD TO THE GOLD COAST” campaign will be held at: 12 – 2pm on SUNDAY 17th AUGUST at Bridgeton High Performance Centre. N.B In order to be selected to represent Scotland in any competition, attendance to the performance programme sessions is essential. Fitness assessments will not be conducted during this sessions due the summer break.
