ROBERT HAYS SHINES FOR BASTARDS Robert Hays continues to do and NOT do things this year for the PGCR Bastards and all of it is good! After beating the UNSC in his most recent start he is a perfect 7-0 this season in 10 starts. Last season in 14 starts he was 7-3, so poised to set a new mark for career wins in a season. How do his numbers stack up this season. • The 7 wins is tied for best in the league. • He leads the league in ERA at 1.74, a full 2 runs better than his era last season. • He has pitched 88 innings, the most in the league, all last season he pitched just over 95. • He leads the league in complete games with 4. As far as what he hasnt done, he has yet to give up a single home run. An incredible feat so deep into the season! Also important numbers to note. • He has already struck out 55 batters, 8 more than he did all last year. • In 95 innings pitched last season he walked 25 batters, incredible he as only 12 in 88 innings this season. In his 3 no decisions: • 1: He pitched a shutout in 8 innings, but the bullpen allowed a single run in 9th to lose 1-0 • 2: He pitched an incredible 10 inning allowing only 6 its and 1 run. The bullpen again lost game in 13th inning. • 3: He allowed a modest 3 runs in 9 innings pitched but left the game tied. The bullpen AGAIN losing in extra innings. Altough there is still basically half the season left, there seems no doubt that at this pace Hays should be at least considered one of the frontrunners for pitcher of the year.
