ROCHES Point touched hurricane level gales late last night and, into the early hours, report Cork Daily Post on Facebook. It was the worst hit area of the country with gales, just one point behind hurricane but, today, looking bright, sunny, as of now, with heavy seas. Many roads around Cork were rated high risk, as trees and, walls had been blown down. We even have a deer warning with reports the in heat, deers are taking to the roads and, tend to react aggressively to motor traffic. One of the best known areas for early morning deer spotting, is the link road from Crosshaven to Myrtleville and, Fountainstown and, is common, even in good weather. Six thousand homes and, businesses nationally, were hit with power cuts, one third of them, through County Cork and, the rest of Munster. But, as always, power service personnel moved rapidly to restore power, helped greatly, down here,by the good morning.
