ROCKFORD, IL - 6 year old - 16 hands tall - OTTB Gelding - Chestnut with minimal white (stripe on face/left fore coronet). Only raced once. Clean legs. Wants to learn. MUST GO before the end of this weekend. In May this young guy was brought here to be boarded and two weeks later he was left in our care, his owner never returned or paid any board. I have a shoulder injury and am off of work on workmans comp. It doesnt pay much and I have 5 others of my own. This guy needs a loving home and to find a safe/soft landing. I have done all I am able to keep him safe and well fed. The snow is about to fall and we do not have a stall for him or a shelter in a turn out for him. I have tried for the last few months to find a new home with a well educated OTTB trainer/lover with no luck. This is my last attempt to try to help him. Finances due to my injury and the weather do not allow me to do any more for him. He is GREEN and will need training both on the ground and under saddle. He is sweet with a kind eye. He needs a pasture or indoor arena to run and play in. I am having a hard time trying not to get myself hurt as the weather turns and they all get frisky. PLEASE, PLEASE can anyone help us to keep him safe and offer him a home before Sunday November 16? Current on vaccinations, coggins and worming and just coming due for his next trimming. Currently barefoot. I have all of his paperwork in hand as well as the transfer of ownership from his prior owner. First $800 Cash and trailer that shows up will take him home.
