ROK and the Caribbean to Hold their 4th High-Level Forum The Foreign Ministry will host the fourth High-Level Forum between the Republic of Korea and the Caribbean in Seoul on October 22. The event will bring together high-level officials of the private and public sectors of eleven Caribbean countries, including Vice Foreign Ministers of Haiti, Antigua and Barbuda and three other countries; the Deputy Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM); and a representative from the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), for discussions on ways to promote substantive cooperation between the ROK and the Caribbean. The forthcoming forum themed “Enhancing Korea-Caribbean Partnership for Co-Prosperity” will be attended by some 100 people from governments and private sectors of the ROK and Caribbean countries. The participants will review the progress in the ROK-Caribbean cooperation in Session I; cover challenges and opportunities facing the Caribbean region in Session II; and discuss ways to promote the ROK-Caribbean cooperation in such sectors as public healthcare, responses to disasters, education, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and tourism in Session III. me2.do/xniguIeP
