Capaclan, Romblon, Romblon E-mail : pcr_romblonppo@yahoo Date : December 11, 2014 CORCUERA MPS-At about 8:25 AM of December 2, 2014, Corcuera MPS received phone call from PO3 Ermie Famat Familara Jr, PNP personnel of this office informing that there was alleged transient fishermen engaging illegal activities at seawater of brgy Alegria this municipality. Team led by PO3 Gilson Diaz, PO3 Ermie Familara, PO1 Macsel Fetalvero, PO1 Freddel Nunez conducted seaborne patrol at sea water of brgy alegria to verify the veracity of report on board of two motor bancas. Said responding officer successfully arrested six (6) transient fishermen identified as follows: 1. Leonardo Maisa y Mojado as boat captain, 2. Ernesto Malacapo y Mazo, 3. Reynaldo Maglana y Monrayo, 4. Jake Maisa y Matium, 5. Ronald Maisa y Pardena and 6. Mario Mazo y Mingo of legal ages, all residents of sitio, Ipil, barangay Lonos, Romblon, Romblon. After caught in flagrante with the use of compressor within Municipal seawater of Corcuera, Romblon specifically at sitio, Ogtong, Barangay Alegria, confiscated from their possession are three (3) spear gun with three (3) googles, six (6) improvised fins, one (1) compressor with air tank and hose as their breathing apparatus, one (1) pumpboat color blue without markings with 16HP Briggs and Straton engine and assorted fish estimated to five (5) kilos with appraised value of four hundred (400) pesos in Philippine currency. Arrested fishermen were brought to Malipayon District Hospital for medical examination and were released together with confiscated fishing paraphernalia’s after they payment of compromised penalty in the amount of P15,000.00 before the office of Municipal treasurer, LGU Corcuera, Romblon with O.R. number 0477585 dated December 3, 2014. -xx-end-xx-
