RONNY Deila wants his players to take a key step forward in their quest for match sharpness today in their fourth and final pre-season game in Austria against Dukla Prague (kick off 5.15pm Celtic Park time). The preceding fixtures on the tour have been designed to give the whole squad playing time to gradually put them in position to achieve peak condition. And with the UEFA Champions League second-round qualifier with RK Reykjavik only four days away, the Norwegian is looking for his charges to show they can last the pace of a full match. “I want to get 90 minutes into a lot of the players which is important,” he told the official website in an exclusive interview. “We have built up now for everybody and 90 per cent of players have been getting into the games step-by-step, playing more and more. “So I want to see that players are capable of staying on the pitch for the full match and performing well. I also want more energy than against Rapid Vienna but I’m quite sure it’s going to be good.” The Scottish champions trounced LASK Linz 5-2 in their last outing three days ago, with Teemu Pukki bagging a hat-trick. “We have started to score goals, which is important,” added the Hoops boss.” I hope we can continue doing that and “I am looking forward to the game today.”
