ROOM FOR RENT!! Hi folks. Im going to be leaving my awesome partially furnished clean little 2 br place in Richmond soon and Im looking for someone to take my place. Its only $850/mo. Move in date is flexible. What Ive loved best about this place is that its almost like having my own private residence for pretty cheap by bay area standards. I share it with the owner, a woman who travels abroad for work. Shes barely ever there. Ive seldom seen her in the several months Ive been there. And shes very nice and easy going. If she comes home, typically its for a long weekend at most. The place is in Atchison Village. Its a cute, tidy little working class, owner-occupied historical neighborhood, about a mile from adorable Point Richmond. Its 10 miles from UCB. Its off the Canal exit from 580, right before you reach the Richmond bridge. Theres a playground and soccer field that you can see from the front door. On some weekend mornings you can catch a futbol game! My dog has been allowed to stay there, but there is no private fenced in yard. I like to take him to the beach right next to the richmond bridge at Pt. Molate. Were usually the only people/dogs there. Thats 4 miles away. Theres a washer and a dryer in the unit, and the furniture there is mostly modern, matching and new. The paint is fresh and bright and the warm honey colored hardwood floors are recently refinished and beautiful. There are lots of windows and great light. The neighbors are a friendly diverse crowd from all over the world. It comes with a parking spot and I recommend a car for this location. Buses and Bart are very nearby, but there arent too many shops or restaurants within walking distance. Ive been asked why Im leaving and its because Im moving to the North Bay to help out with my grandma. Otherwise, Im not nearly ready to lose this sweet pad and great deal.
