ROOSTER GIRLS SUFFER THIRD DEFEAT OF SEASON Today our Womens team faced LaTrobe away from home, in which they suffered a defeat. Our girls started the game very slow and were unable to really get in the game. Once again, the wet and poor pitch conditions, coupled with errors, lapses in concentration and squandered chances proved too much to handle. We ended the first half 1-0 down and were lucky it wasnt anymore. The second half was more of the same. LaTrobe got on the scoresheet twice within the first 10 minutes of the half. Our girls switched to a more attacking stance, and literally played the rest of the half in the oppositions defensive half. Unfortunately, alot of chances went begging with our breakthrough coming in the 82nd minute through Amie. The game finished 3-1. Rooster TV caught up with the coach and this is what he had to say; Its always hard to fathom a loss, but, mathematically were still in it for the flag, were just going to have to work hard for the next half of the season to get maximum points and hope a few results go our way. In no way will we fold. Just a minor speed hump. Were in it for the long haul. Our Womens team have seen worse days than this last year, but we managed to overcome it and weve become stronger because of it. Were here to finish the job at hand and keep our eye on the prize.
