ROYALLY GOOD . . . Emily Burton uses words like “amazing” and “magical” to describe her first horse jumping competition at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. And with good reason. The 10-year-old Southwold Public School student came away with a national championship and a prestigious sportsmanship award selected by her peers. She also got to meet two of her heroes, Canadian Olympians Ian Millar and Beth Underhill. But what was most enjoyable about it all? “Just going in the ring with my pony and experiencing everything for the first time,” said Burton, who lives near Port Stanley.
