RSOE EDIS Event Report - Shocked local residents watched on as a tornado whipped through Bombala on Saturday afternoon, sucking debris high into the air and leaving considerable damage in its wake. Witnesses say that the storm formed in the direction of the Bombala Golf Club, and put down an actual funnel several times as it swept through town late in the afternoon. The high winds were accompanied by very heavy rain and impressive thunder and lightning, with power being lost for a short period due to a strike near Village Ford.
