RULE CHANGE : With the new two lobby system, and after having a few races under our belt in this new system. We have noticed a few trends developing that we hope some new rule changes can help improve the experience of the race for all. - First, and most important, we have new rules regarding when a driver is lagged out due to not being able to see one or more drivers. So here are the new rules regarding drivers, and lag. + If two drivers are unable to see one another, under yellow for restarts, the car running the worse of the two in the field, will be asked to drop to the back of the field. (The driver will drop to the back of the field in their line, unless instructed by the official otherwise) + If a driver is unable to see two drivers, they will be allowed to continue to run, but for all restarts they must start at the back of the field approx. 2-5 seconds back of the car ahead of them. + If a driver is unable to see three drivers they will be permitted to continue to run on tracks that are 1.5 miles or larger. (Not plate tracks however, and if the track is less than 1.5 miles, the driver will have to leave the lobby) On restarts the driver must start approx. 10 seconds back of the field. And when any cars are coming up on that driver during the race, that driver must immediately give way as to not cause a wreck. Or interfere with the racing. + Once a driver is unable to see 4 drivers they are no longer able to continue running on the track. The driver will have to leave the lobby. - Last, and just as important, if a driver’s connection is causing problems for the entire room. (Ghosting, jumping, lagging constantly) Regardless of whether they have lost even a single driver, the official/s of the room may make the decision that that driver is unable to compete due to connection. And that driver will receive the points for the position they finish, but they will have to leave the lobby. Once again, this is unrelated to how many drivers they can or can not see. This is plainly if their connection is just too unstable to continue and is interfering with everyone else. + After the driver with connection issues leaves the lobby, the official/s of the room can make the decision to continue on with the lobby as is, if they feel the integrity of the lobby has not been compromised. Or start up a brand new lobby, without that driver who was just removed.
