RUN TO DADDY If we could stop and really think about it, most - TopicsExpress

RUN TO DADDY If we could stop and really think about it, most of us would realize that our perception of a father is largely based upon our upbringing. If we had a loving dad, we tend to think of a father as a supportive and kind person. But if we have had a less than perfect relationship with, or absence of, a father in our life, the perception might not be as positive. And very often our idea of fathers carries over into our perception of our Heavenly Father. I have good news for you! Our Heavenly Father is kind, compassionate, slow to anger, full of mercy and He loves you without reservation and without limitations. This all-encompassing love is for all mankind, to those who believe in and follow His Word and for those who have not yet realized that He is all they need. Mark 6:34 describes the Lords compassion for the lost: And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. And to those who reverence and worship Him? Psalm 112:4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. God understands our human frailty; He created us and knows our human nature. Psalm 103:13-14 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. Like any good father, the Lord will sometimes allow adversities to come our way so that we may learn from them. But that doesnt mean that His mercy and compassion has lessened in any way. Lamentations 3:32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies. The mercy and love of God continue forever. His outstretched arms are the same as they were centuries ago when He said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. What is your concept of your Heavenly Father? Do you come to Him with awe and reverence? Do you fall at His feet in worship and adoration? All these are appropriate, of course, because He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. After we have worshipped Him and He has wrapped His loving arms around us, we can enter into a realm of comfort and peace that is found only in the Abba relationship. There are three scriptures that use the word Abba. Jesus cried out Abba, Father when He was suffering the agony of the cross. The Apostle Paul used the word in his writings to the churches at Rome and at Galatia to illustrate our relationship with the Lord. Abba is an Aramaic word which corresponds to our Daddy or Papa. Our Heavenly Father is not a distant, unattainable figure! He is our high priest and He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. (Hebrews 4:15) Oh, that we could reach that place of security, of knowing without a doubt that our Daddy loves us, is always there for us, and wants to give us every desire of our heart according to His perfect will. Do not be fearful of oming to Him. His love is perfect and perfect love casts out all fear. (I John 4:18) I invite you to run to Daddy with your fears, with your dreams, with all that is in your heart. His compassions fail not, His mercy is unending and His love never fails. Your Daddy will not turn you away.
