RVTV SCHEDULE – READY TO ROLL! The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce announced today the schedule for RVTV on September 8. “It’s been a planning committee and community involvement that is making this event come into focus. You’re not going to believe the amount of fun available to everyone!” said Deb Brown, Chamber Director. 11 am to 12 pm the RVTV guys will roll into town. The Chamber has offered an invitation to any local resident who has decorated their car in Iowa or Iowa State colors to join in the caravan to bring the boys into town. The Fire Department and Police Department will escort the RV and WHO- TV participants, followed by the caravan. Meet at MaidRite parking lot at 11 am. 12 – 1 pm The WHO TV crew will be out and about interviewing local people. 2 to 4 pm The WHO TV radio sports show will be hosted in the Chamber’s conference room. Food vendors, chili contestants, Kid Zone End Zone participants, Tailgaters and Bag Tournament folks will be setting up. The streets are closed at 2 pm. 4 pm Live TV Broadcast on WHO-TV in the tailgating section. Wear your colors and come down to the 700 block of 2nd street – cheer on your team on TV. Enjoy the tailgaters too. 5 pm Live TV Broadcast on WHO-TV featuring Motorized bar stool races with participants from WHO-TV in the 600 block of 2nd street. 5:30 pm Tug of War contests begin in First American Bank Plaza. 6 pm Live TV Broadcast on WHO-TV in the Chili Cookoff section. Judging for Chili is at 6 pm. After the judging, the chili will be available to taste to everyone. 6 pm Nickel Scramble – two heats. 6pm Bags Tourney – corner of Willson and 2nd. $10 preregister at R Company, $15 day of tourney. Fundraiser for men of Elm Street House. ISU and Iowa brackets, champions playing for the title. 7 pm Nickel Scramble – two heats. 7:30 pm Human Foosball tournament begins on Willson and 2nd street. The Human Foosball set is being built by Missionary Alliance Church. 7:30 pm Zumba dancing in First American Bank Plaza – all join in. 8 pm Winners of the Coloring Contest and Best Windows to be announced. 8 pm Nickel Scramble – two heats. 9 pm HERO lights up the Webster Theater marquee! 10 pm Live TV Broadcast on WHO-TV – special announcement to come in the next couple of days about the activity at this time.
