Raag Bihag is a sweet late night Raag that makes it worth keeping up . It is sung between 9 PM to 12 AM. Both the Madhyams taken in a unique movement make it clearly identifiable as Raag Bihag. The movement P M G m G is its Pakad or signature phrase . Many such movements involving Tivra M and Shuddha m , show it up more clearly . One must not dwell much on R and D . It is the captivating Meed from G to S that brings the real romantic mood in this Raag . A delayed G sss S expresses the loving anger of the beloved who is not being paid attention to . Does that sound useful ? So much to introduce this Raag . But who do we request to sing it for us ? At whose feet shall we surrender, so that we may get the melodic realization of this Raag.
