Rabbi Yisrael David Weiss, spokesman of the New York-based Jewish Neturei Karta movement, described the Israeli recent aggression on Gaza as a new “catastrophe and Nakba.” In an interview on Al Jazeera satellite channels program Bela Hodoud (Without Borders), Wednesday evening, he said that Israel’s aggression on Gaza came as part of its illegitimate existence as a Jewish state in contradiction to beliefs and teachings of Judaism. “The Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves and their lands. The Palestinian resistance is a natural reaction to what is happening against them. We as Jews should be grateful to Muslims as they hosted us hundreds of years.” “Israel’s establishment represents disobedience and rebellion against Gods will. Since the destruction of the Temple, Jews were not allowed to hold the holy land,” he continued. “Jewish believers know very well that the destruction of the Temple was because of our sins.” Rabbi Weiss called for halting war against Palestinians, considering Israeli occupation as a challenge to the Jewish beliefs. “We do not recognize the Israeli rabbis as they disobeyed Torah teachings and orders,” he said. He pointed out that hundreds of Jewish rabbis protested in Washington against Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu’s visit and his war on Gaza. “Zionists brought hatred to Jews all over the world forcing them to migrate to Israel seeking for protection.” “I always beg to God to peacefully remove Israel as it constitutes an obstacle to achieve peace between Muslims and Jews that had prevailed for hundreds of years.” “According to Torah, Jews are prevented from reaching the Temple Mount; however, Zionists do not respect the ten commandments of Judaism.” “At Jesus’s second coming, Israel will be removed in the end times. Jews should not immigrate to and live in the unlawful state of Israel as it disobeys God’s will,” he concluded.
