Rabies vaccines are very important in rescue Ive learned many scenarios why! The identification alone has saved many dogs. Animals who bite can be quarantined for 10 days. One story includes of an unclaimed dog that was taken for biting someone that kicked the dog I could not save/rescue the dog as rescuer who saves dog because of no proof of rabies or ownership to anyone. Rabies is serious business you better get to a rabies clinic when offered if finances keep you from going to a regular vet. No excuses.
