Rob Austin Rob Austin Racing Exocet Racing 17th (started 21st): I lost turbo boost pressure - I started to sense it from about mid-distance but then it worsened in the closing laps - and thats why I fell back. A shame as Id been up to 14th behind Ingram and it might have been higher had I had a bit more confience in the car in the opening laps - it was really well sorted. Had it not been for the boost Im sure Id have passed Ingram and could probably have gone with Goff. But Im taking some heart from that. On race pace were closer and Im looking forward to race 2. Hunter Abbott Racing AlcoSense Breathalysers Racing 24th (started 22nd): Both cars were locking the left-front tyre into the complex and I flat spotted mine on only the 2nd lap so badly that I had to pit. The crew did a great job in changing it so quickly but I was almost a lap down. I let the leader (Jordan) past near the end but was encouraged with my pace compared to his and my fastest race lap was pretty good.
