Race Report Windham World Cup A good day...finally! It came as something of a surprise that the best World Cup result of the season so far for Ralph came on the course that suits his strengths least. The long climb up Windham Mountain was a big challenge for a rider who wouldnt describe themselves as a climber, but, whilst it was not perfect, good legs and lungs saw Ralph climb into the top ten. Of course, the downhill was no problem for Ralph, and the full suspension bike made light work of the rough track, offering a welcome restbite on the long descent. It was not the best start, losing time here and there as wheels crossed and gaps closes, but this week Ralph had enough strength, both mentally - to stay calm and wait for the race to settle, and physically - to then move up the field. With a season-best result, plus the great performances of his team mates Julien Absalon and Lukas Fluckiger, Ralph is in a positive mindset as he heads home to Switzerland ahead of the BMC Cup this weekend and then onto Meribel and the World Championships.” © From the Pits
