Axel Pearson Rd.3 GXE Series Gorman, CA 7-12-14 This weekend we had the chance to go race Erek Kudlas double header (4hours/4hour night) GXE held in Gorman, CA! I teamed up with my teammate Tallon Taylor which we always seem to do well!! Friday morning early we meet Travis from TBT Suspension and tested in Johnson Valley!! After a good day there we stayed in Lancaster and relaxed by the hot tub!! The race started at 2pm and we decided that I would start!! My Beta 450 started quick and I pulled holeshot!! Evan Kelly was right on me heading around the moto track but when we hit the off-road I was able to pull a 1min lead after the 12 mile loop which was really hard pack so you had to really be smooth!! We opened up a couple min lead over Evan and Austin Keys until they had an issue and dropped out!! Tallon rode really well and with my adjustments my bike cornered really good and we took the win!! The night section we started 30 sec in front of the next bike and Tallon started!! The other team rode well getting by us and as I got on we lost our rear brakes and I could get right on their rear fender but struggled passing with the silt and they took up the whole track plus some!! I tipped over a couple times but Tallon kept us close and I was ready to push harder my last three laps but as I went out we lost power to our lights, so to collect the Pro purse we had to finish so we rode off our Task Racing helmet lights and still finished 2nd overall!!
