Racism is a problem at UNL. But some students wonder whether a campaign characterized by planned speeches and moralistic platitudes will be enough to correct it...Some have warned against that mentality — packing minority students into assembly halls and large gatherings as a way of promoting tolerance. Some lessons can’t be taught by speaking into a microphone, said Keith Garcia, a graduate student in educational administration. “It shouldn’t always be the students of color who have to step up and be your educational experience,” he said.
