Racism is ugly, small minded and we ought to all react to it with immediate overwhelming violence. The worst beating I ever took was one I got when I stopped three drunk white frat boys from UF from pushing around a black bag lady after knocking over her cart. I had three broken ribs and needed stitches in my head from being kicked but Id do it again right now. This just sickens me. I Cant Believe Martin Luther King died for this. If I had witnessed this event, Id have been just as quick to intervene. It seems to me that we have all sat on the sidelines too often for too long. If we want a better society we are all going to have to be willing to take a stand and stop cosigning horrible behavior by virtue of our apathy and fear. Equality doesnt just work when it is to your advantage...
