Radamel Falcao is convinced Manchester United took a gamble by signing him on loan from Monaco in September. The Colombian, who scored his first goal for the Red Devils in the 2-1 home win over Everton last weekend, missed most of last season and the World Cup in Brazil with a serious knee injury. But that did not deter United as Louis van Gaal shelled out a £6m loan fee to bring Falcao to Old Trafford and also has the option to sign the 28-year-old permanently at the end of the season. Falcao has revealed he is enjoying life in Manchester and is thankful the club trusted his form and fitness. He told Spanish radio station Onda Cero:Manchester United were the ones that gambled on me when it was very difficult to do so. It has been a very difficult year, not just in my professional career. What happened at the start of the year affected me in every way, but it has also helped me grow as a human being, to think about many things, to mature. In terms of my thoughts and plans for the future, I want to stay at Manchester United for the coming years. Im still going to need some time to be OK, but I am feeling very comfortable and very good on the pitch, in harmony with myself, with the ball and with football. [Source: Onda Cero, Talksport]
