Radio Biafra MICROSOFT, GOOGLE AND OTHERS NOW GIVE RECOGNITION TO THE NOUN "BIAFRA"...NO LONGER UNDERLINES BIAFRA IN RED. In keeping with the promise made live on air by the Director and Host of Radio Biafra Nnamdi Kanu, the "Editorial Board of Radio Biafra is pleased to announce to all Indigenous People of Biafra and friends of Biafra all over the world that Microsoft, Google and Facebook have now recognised the word Biafra as a noun", according to a brief statement released by the management of the London based radio station. � No longer is the word Biafra underlined in red ink when entered online or when word processing. Even where Biafra is mis-spelt with the small letter b it automatically corrects it to start with capital letter B. This means that Biafra is now a noun, in this case the name of a country. Lack of recognition for Biafra and main reason why younger generations especially those born abroad are ignorant about the country is because anytime the word is written a red line appears underneath indicating that it unknown or unrecognized, most notably on Microsoft Word document, Facebook and Google. This particular problem is now a thing of the past thanks to the efforts of Radio Biafra worldwide listener base and followership. The statement went further to say "On behalf of the Council of Elders of the Indigenous People of Biafra, the Editorial Board of Radio Biafra would like to thank the management of the following companies, Microsoft, Google and Facebook for recognizing Biafra thereby lending credence to the aptly named title of the last book by the world renowned author Chinua Achebe, that indeed There was a Country". We also thank the many millions that listen to Radio Biafra every night at radiobiafra.co or via the newly launched Radio Biafra App for their collective effort in propagating the message of Biafra. Above all w e recognise that Chinua Achebe made the world to stand up and take notice of the right of Biafra to exist as a self governing entity on this planet earth. The task now is to make Yahoo and other similar providers follow the lead of Microsoft.
